Rig Wash is used for reducing surface tension and is an excellent emulsifier. It may be used at any point in the drilling operation to improve emulsification and reduce torque and drag. It is highly effective in both fresh water and sea water environments. Usage Guidelines: The usage of Rig Wash depends on the specific application. It is recommended to use full strength to remove thick deposits of oil and grease and to wash the rig floor. It may be diluted up to a 1:10 ratio (Rig Wash:Water) for general purpose cleaning. It may also be diluted with kerosene for cleaning tanks and mechanical parts.
