It can be used to treat water‑cut well flow lines, process equipment, and oil pipelines. It may also be used alongside drilling fluids as an effective oxygen scavenger and biocide.
This corrosion inhibitor is particularly suitable for pipeline applications where it partitions predominantly into the water phase, ensuring effective treatment of water settling out at low spots. It provides excellent corrosion protection for the drill string and downhole tools. It is effective in dispersed mud, KCl mud, and saltwater mud. It should be applied by continuous injection.
