Drilling detergent is a special aqueous blend of anionic and non‑ionic surfactants that remains equally effective regardless of make‑up water – whether fresh, brackish, or saturated salt water. It also provides a lubricating effect, reducing friction between the drill string and borehole wall.

This drilling detergent is designed to reduce the surface tension of water‑based mud systems (WBM), making it useful wherever it is desirable to lower foaming tendencies. It is compatible with fresh water mud, sea water mud, and brine system mud, and is also highly effective in KCl and sea water muds. Our drilling detergent is manufactured in Delhi and exported to drilling operations worldwide.

Beyond foam control, the drilling detergent acts as an oil emulsifier in fresh water and sea water muds, reducing the viscosity increase caused by oil contamination.
